Power out = No internet for my computer. I would be devastated at first and then a minute later remember that I still have my iPhone...
Depending on what it's like outside, you would probably find me driving around looking for the nearest coffee shop with power and WiFi (so I can use my computer, of course) or at home reading a favorite book with my battery powered clip-on book light...
But who am I kidding. I would most likely be on my iPhone (either on calls or social media apps) the entire time (sad, I know).
How about you? What would you do?

Yet another reason why I need a smarter phone. And a laptop with working battery.
And push for an all nite coffee shop in this small town, because our Tim Horton's closes it doors in power outages.
Candles....that's all I got - candles :)
thanks for joining in!
Smart phones are great and bad at the same time - I find myself on it entirely too much. Nothing wrong with candles!
I didn't even think of my phone! I would kill the battery in about 20 minutes, but that is exactly what I would do! ... while I was in the fetal position in the hallway... :)
Here in Texas, in the fall and spring, the wind is so bad the power lines slap against each other and we loose power often. Its a great reason to build a ten and give the kids flashlights, then I sit and knit!
Hi there - I am hopping by from Share your post hop - We recently had a power outage -it was pitch dark outside - my daughters had friends over so there were 4 teen girls upstairs scaring each other and going into fits of giggles - I lit up on the candles in the living room - got my IPad with my kindle app and read one of my numerous books.... it was a nice night until the power came back on and I saw the HUGE mess the girls made! ha - I'm your newest follower

My first reaction would be, "It's okay, I still have my laptop." Then I would remember that the modem doesn't work without power. Depending on my mood and energy level I would either start cleaning, read a book, or head to a coffee shop with WiFi.
I would be doing the same thing!! I don't know what I'd do without the internet! I run a business with my blog and with my web design, so without it, I'm also out of work. Ugh!
Thanks for linking up! :)
